Zong GSM, UMTs/HSPA+, and LTE technologies are now in use.On August 22, 2019, Zong successfully tested 5G technology at its headquarters in Islamabad.As of August 2019, Zong is the first of three mobile network operators in Pakistan to successfully complete 5G trials (the others being Jazz and Telenor).
